An Evening With David and Julie Nixon Eisenhower

Radnor Memorial Library and Radnor Historical Society invite you to spend some time with the heirs of two of the most famous politicians of the 20th century. If you are of a certain age, you remember President Eisenhower (aka General Eisenhower). Then President Nixon, who was also Eisenhower’s VP before he moved into the White House with Pat, Tricia and Julie. And Checkers? Oh, but then Julie married David BEFORE Nixon took office…right? I forget, was Tricia already married?

On Wednesday, September 21st at 7pm in the Middle School, Julie and David pay us a long awaited visit. Here we will talk with the fairytale couple (the Brad and Angelina?) who brought the families together and then became the heirs… who, still, need only go by the names of David and Julie. Yes, we remember.

In their newest best-selling book, Going Home to Glory: A Memoir of Life with Dwight D. Eisenhower 1961-1969, the Eisenhowers deliver a warm and personal recollection of the retirement years of David Eisenhower’s grandfather, Dwight D. Eisenhower. Following the book talk, the authors will sign books. Books will be available for purchase. Best to park on the South Wayne Ave. side of Radnor Middle School. We’ll have signs to direct you to the auditorium. See you on Wednesday!
