Podcast: The Red Rose Girls

Joined by their friend Henrietta Cozens, Violet Oakley, Jessie Wilcox Smith and Elizabeth Shippen Green moved into the Red Rose Inn in Villanova. The year was 1901.

Howard Pyle declared them the Red Rose Girls.

Almost two-hours in length, Pollack’s presentation surrounds these creative women with background on the Golden Age of Illustration, Howard Pyle, and Maxfield Parrish, who also studied under Pyle.
