Poet Karl Kirchwey At The Gryphon Cafe

Please join Radnor Memorial Library and our partner The Gryphon Café on Friday evening, November 17, 2017, 7PM-9PM as we welcome poet Karl Kirchwey back to the Main Line. The reading will take place at the original Gryphon Café, located at 105 W. Lancaster Avenue in Wayne, PA.

The award-winning poet will perform selected readings of his work as well as poems from his new book (his seventh!), Stumbling Blocks: Roman Poems.

Kirchwey, who directed and taught in the Creative Writing Program at Bryn Mawr College, is currently Professor of English and Creative Writing at Boston University. Patrick-Oliphant-drawing-of-Karl-Kirchwey-sm

From 2010-13, he served as Andrew Heiskell Arts Director at the American Academy in Rome and has been awarded the Rome Prize in Literature and the Cato Prize for Poetry. Books will be available for purchase courtesy of Wayne’s Main Point Books.
