A monumental talk next Tuesday with Philadelphia author and historian, Thomas H. Keels

keelsRadnor Memorial Library and Radnor Historical Society invite you to attend a lecture on Philadelphia burial grounds, including one of the most important cemeteries, Laurel Hill.

This time of year, when folks are getting ready for the Gravedigger’s Ball, or, reading their scheduled book as a member of the Boneyard Bookworms, we hope you will come out to hear Tom Keels talk about the first cemetery to be named a National Historic Landmark. Tom will also talk about other burial grounds in Philadelphia.

Keels specializes in Philadelphia history and architecture and is a lecturer, writer, and commentator who is the author or co-author of six published books on Philadelphia history. On Tuesday, October 25, at 7:30PM, Tom will talk about his book Philadelphia Graveyards and Cemeteries at The Radnor Fire Company, located at 121 S. Wayne Avenue, in Wayne. Please use the side entrance and park in the Municipal Lot — not in the Fire Company lot.

We are grateful to The Radnor Fire Company for the use of their beautiful space while we are renovating our Library.

I hope to see you there!
