Welcome back to the Wild Summer Conservation Film Series in Wayne!

After-Winter-Spring-posterRadnor Memorial Library, along with its partners Radnor Conservancy, Radnor Bird Town, and Radnor Township’s EAC, invite you to attend 3 award-winning, outstanding films that will educate and inspire us to become engaged in conservation. This is the 3rd summer that we have been able to obtain rights to films that were produced and directed by independent filmmakers who are passionate about their craft and the world we live in. They love sharing their films with smaller audiences that invite discussion after the screening. The artists, who themselves are involved in conservation, hope to empower us in our local communities to get involved.

ALL FILMS ARE FREE AND WILL BE SCREENED AT THE RADNOR FIRE COMPANY, LOCATED AT:

121 S. WAYNE AVENUE IN WAYNE. PLEASE PARK IN THE MUNICIPAL OR TEACHER’S LOT AND NOT AT THE FIREHOUSE. PLEASE USE THE SIDE ENTRANCE TO THE FIREHOUSE.

Mark your calendars with this schedule of film screenings:

Wednesday, June 15 @ 7:30pm: AFTER WINTER, SPRING

Wednesday, July 20 @ 7:30pm: WISDOM TO SURVIVE

Wednesday, August 24 @ 7:30pm: A WILL FOR THE WOODS

Here is a description of the first film:

After Winter, Spring (75 minutes)

Judith Lit, the Producer/Director of After Winter, Spring spent her childhood on her family’s farm in rural Pennsylvania. In this film, Lit offers an intimate portrait of an ancestral way of life under threat in a modern world. In the Perigord region of southwest France, a rural community grapples with a profound question: Will it be the last generation of family farmers in a region continuously cultivated for over five thousand years?
