As the 2nd annual Wild Summer Conservation Film Series in Wayne comes to a close, we are excited about screening Flight of the Butterflies, a free 44-minute film that went on to win numerous awards after being a big winner at the Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Festival less than 2 years ago. The award-winning production team (including an Oscar winner) followed the year-long migration cycle of the Monarch butterfly, from Canada, through the United States to remote 10,000-foot-high peaks in the Sierra Madre Mountains of Mexico.

And like last time, we have surprises after the film. Yesterday, we took a Sunday drive to Mostardi Nursery in Newtown Square to meet with Steve Mostardi and he gave us something to give to you that butterflies love to eat.

And that’s all I can say about that, folks!

Radnor Library, Radnor Conservancy, Radnor Bird Town, and Radnor Township’s EAC wish to thank you for attending the films and then going home to plant the milkweed and Joe Pye Weed that we loved making available through the generosity of donors like Steve Mostardi. We are very lucky, indeed.

I hope to see you Wednesday night,

Pam
