Learning From a Past Generation as We Confront Change (The Old Main Line of Philadelphia Lives On)

Reverend Richard Walton Hess, retired Rector of St. David’s Episcopal Church in Wayne, will present a historical lecture on eight Main Line families on Friday, October 24, at 7:00pm.

Reverend Hess is visiting from Falmouth, Massachusetts, where he now resides, and has spent months preparing for this special night in the Winsor Room. We consider this a preview to the 300th anniversary of St. David’s Episcopal Church that will be celebrated in 2015. Our visitor promises a lecture that will be very entertaining!

The stately homes of these families will also be part of Hess’ presentation, including the Zantzingers and “The Willows” and the Rosengartens and “Chanticleer.”

We hope to see you there!
