Mark your Monday for Upper Darby Township Superintendent, Michael J. Chitwood

Police Superintendent, Michael J. Chitwood, is the subject of the the new book, Tough Cop: Mike Chitwood vs. the “Scumbags,” written by Harold I. Gullan. Chief Chitwood began his career in law enforcement over forty years ago, initially serving with the Philadelphia Police Department as a patrol officer, highway patrol officer, and then a detective in the prestigious Homicide Division. On Monday, October 13, 7:30, Chief Chitwood will talk in the Winsor Room. No podcast this time. There will be a book signing and books will be available for purchase.

Tough Cop

I have been following Chitwood’s career  since the ’80’s…even back then, he made a name for himself, doing what he was born to do.

The recipient of a multitude of awards which recognize him for his community service, leadership, and commitment to public safety, Chitwood was named Superintendent of Police of the Upper Darby Township Police Department in 2005. And we’re glad he’s back.

Please join us on Monday night. From all the comments at the Library, this man has a lot of admirers who can’t wait to meet him. Like me.

See you at the Library, Pam
