Lives Change @ your library

We’re almost at the end of National Library Week, 2014. What a great week! The American Library Association had Judy Blume as their Honorary Chair and we had our Camille Paglia! Think of all the lives these two women, alone, have changed.

On Tuesday night, Professor Paglia was our special guest— a night I will never forget. She rapid-fired all around the room, willing victims, every last one of us: men!women! all ages! She filled us with her dazzling rhetoric…and common sense. She was as invigorating as a bitter double espresso…

But how sweet it was when she giggled over seeing Hope Montgomery Scott, Paglia said, at the Devon Horse Show back in the ’80’s. Camille Paglia had just arrived in Pennsylvania to assume her teaching position in Center City and just had to wander around our storied suburbs to see The Main Line for herself.  The author said her favorite movie is The Philadelphia Story.

Take a look at some shots from the Glittering Images book signing, then fasten your seatbelt for a wild ride with Professor Camille Paglia: the podcast!
