Friday’s Film: Hyde Park on Hudson

This Friday, May 10, @ 1:30pm,the Library will screen Hyde Park on Hudson in the Winsor Room. It’s free and we will have refreshments. I hope to see you there. The experience is very cinema-like with the big screen, the excellent projection and then there’s those Bose speakers all around the room…

In June, 1939, President Franklin Delano Roosevelt and his wife Eleanor, host the King and Queen of England for a weekend at the Roosevelt home at Hyde Park on Hudson, in upstate New York—the first-ever visit of a reigning English monarch to America.
