Michael Capuzzo–bestselling author of The Murder Room

Bestselling author and four-time Pulitzer Prize nominee Michael Capuzzo will visit Radnor Memorial Library on Friday, May 6, 7:30pm. Formerly a feature writer for the Philadelphia Inquirer and Miami Herald, Capuzzo has written for Esquire, Life, and Sports Illustrated.

In the author’s new book The Murder Room, brilliant storytelling brings true crime to life more realistically and vividly than it has ever been portrayed before. Capuzzo tells thrilling, true tales from the Vidocq Society, a team of the world’s finest forensic investigators whose monthly gourmet lunches at the Downtown Club in Philadelphia lead to justice in ice-cold murders.

Known as the heirs of Sherlock Holmes, the Vidocq Society was formed by a free-wheeling forensic sculptor, an FBI and U.S. Customs agent, and a pre-eminent forensic psychologist and profiler.

“People think of them as wizards, who sort of peep and mutter and go into a backroom and come out and say “He did it!’, Capuzzo told 20/20.

Recently, The Murder Room was optioned by CBS and will be on the major tv network in the future.

Books will be available for purchase at the event.
