Dennis McIlnay, author of The Horseshoe Curve: Sabotage and Subversion in the Railroad City

Author Dennis Mc Ilnay will visit Radnor Memorial Library on Wednesday, March 2, 7:30pm in the Winsor Room. Mc Ilnay will talk about his book The Horseshoe Curve: Sabotage and Subversion in the Railroad City.

Our co-sponsor for this event is Radnor Historical Society.

Mc Ilnay’s book deals with an interrupted Nazi plot during WWII to blow up this landmark section of the Pennsylvania Railroad near Altoona.  Two hundred twenty-five Nazi sympathizers were arrested. Another little known fact: over 15,000 Germans and Italians were interred during WWII in the United States. Books will be available for purchase.
