Jefferson’s Daughters

Templeton Honors College at Eastern University and Radnor Memorial Library are the hosts of this Pennsylvania Humanities Council (PHC) program, presented by Dr. Catherine Kerrison, Associate Professor of History at Villanova University. This event will take place in McInnis Auditorium on Thursday, October 21 at 7pm on the Eastern University campus. This is a free event and no registration is required.

Using letters, portraits, and images from the home in which Jefferson’s daughters were brought up, Kerrison explores details of family life at Monticello. This Commonwealth Speakers presentation is a program of the PHC, supported in part by the National Endowment for the Humanities and its We the People initiative.

The PHC inspires people to come together to share a life of learning. Since 1973, the PHC has provided resources that empower local groups to help their communities explore history, literature, the arts, and the ideas that shape the human experience.
